Kimberley Wilderness Cruise
Between Broome and Cambridge Gulf, the Kimberley coast winds for over 3,000 kms around huge gulfs, jagged peninsulas and river estuaries verged with mangroves and mudflats. The 1,000 or so islands that dot the Kimberley Coast form the greatest mass of islands in Australia and are rarely, if ever, visited. The only way to explore it is by boat, with journeys ashore along the way.
Based aboard a luxury cruise boat, the crew use their local knowledge to show you the best fishing spots, swimming holes, islands, reefs, creeks and wildlife.
Designed to provide an exceptional level of comfort for up for 36 passengers, our Kimberley cruise boat offers air-conditioned cabins with well-appointed private bathroom facilities, a desalination plant that ensures there is plenty of water for drinking and bathing, a state of the art navigation system, satellite communications, audio-visual equipment and a video & book library.
On board and on excursions the experienced crew of 16 will attend to your needs. The chef will prepare delicious meals - fresh fruit, cooked breakfasts, fresh salads, meat and chicken, Asian style banquets, pasta dishes, sunset nibbles. The seafood is ultra fresh - fish you have caught yourself, oysters and mud crabs.
Each cruise sails with an onboard Bell 407 Helicopter, which adds a new dimension to this ultimate holiday experience. Six passengers can be accommodated in air-conditioned comfort to explore new territory, enjoy scenic flights over waterfalls, rivers and gorges and provide the opportunity to try your hand at Heli-fishing.
Experience the natural majesty of the Prince Regent, King George, and Mitchell Rivers. Explore ancient tributaries and natural phenomena such as Montgomery Reef and the famous Horizontal Waterfalls. Fish for the great Barramundi, collect succulent Kimberley oysters and catch mud crabs for a nightly feast you will remember for years to come! Trek to beautiful crystal clear rock pools and waterholes fringed with lush vegetation that refresh like cool natural spas. Discover ancient aboriginal art galleries and travel the route of our countries past inhabitants visiting famous Dreamtime sites.
