Perth
is blessed with great weather - its warm sunny climate,
clear blue skies, beautiful white sand beaches, and
casual outdoor lifestyle makes it a great place to
relax.
The city is characterised by waterways, green parks and a
compact city centre. There is plenty to see and do - tour the
city; hop into the many water sports on the Swan River; enjoy
a glass of wine in a riverside or beachside restaurant; or
explore one of the citys most popular icons - the 400
hectares of natural bush that form the spectacular Kings Park
in the centre of
the city.

Perth
is also the home of the world's oldest operating mint,
numerous museums and art galleries, historic character
buildings and over 80 kms of white sandy beaches.
A train or ferry ride away is the vibrant port city of
Fremantle. Rich in heritage buildings and maritime history,
Fremantle is the best-preserved example in the world of a 19th
century port streetscape. Many of Fremantles long time
residents are of Mediterranean background and this is
particularly evident in the numerous al fresco
restaurants and cafés.
To the east The Darling Range offers waterfalls, forests,
national parks, galleries and excellent bush walking,
especially during wildflower season. To the west Rottnest
Island is just a short ferry or plane trip away. Visit for the
string of sugar-white beaches and emerald bays, and see
quokkas, small marsupials common to the island.
