JOURNEY DETAILS

Day 1 - Uluru, Longitude 131º  Luxury Tented Camp

On arrival at Ayers Rock / Uluru Airport you will be met by your guide and taken to Longitude 131°. This camp is the ultimate in desert luxury and its location allows for spectacular views to Uluru (Ayers Rock), the world’s most famous monolith.

This 5-star tented camp comprises just 15 luxury tents with en suite bathroom. Stone floors are covered in woven rugs; the beds are made up with fine linens and fluffy doonas. Each tent has a view of Uluru (Ayers Rock), as does the large open living area where guests can relax any time of the day and watch the changing colours of the desert and the Rock.

Day 2 - Uluru, Longitude 131º  Luxury Tented Camp

A professional, qualified guide will ensure your Desert Centre experience is enjoyable and rewarding. Start the day with an early morning viewing of Uluru and watch the sun’s first rays of light ignite its rich colour palate.

Later in the day visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), 50 kms away, for sun-downer drinks. Kata Tjuta might be less famous than Uluru but the sheer beauty captivates most visitors and many believe they hold even greater charm.

Animals you may see in the desert include red kangaroos emus, wallabies, dingoes, dragons and goannas. Birds in this area include the wedge-tailed eagle, brown and peregrine falcons, Australian kestrel, black-breasted kite and the colourful (and noisy!) parrots and cockatoos.

Back at camp relax in your air-conditioned tent or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. After dark the sky is crystal clear with millions of stars.

Day 3 - The journey ends in Alice Springs

Transfer to Uluru / Ayers Rock Airport for your departure flight.
