 The
gentle rolling hills of the Clare Valley are dotted
with some of Australia’s oldest and most picturesque
heritage towns and homesteads. The Clare is also home
to many acclaimed cool climate wines and its vineyards
remain small, the emphasis on quality.
Set in elegant gardens and
originally built in the 1850’s Thorn Park has been
lovingly restored by your hosts David Hay and Michael
Speers. Thorn Park was built in the 1850s and is set in
60 acres of gently rolling hills and stately
gums.

 There
are six tastefully furnished guest rooms, all with
en suite bathrooms. The Blue & White Room, the Yellow
Room and the White Room are within in the main Homestead.
The Terracotta and the Green room are situated in
the Coach House and then The Barn, as you would expect,
offers accomodation in a beautifully converted old
barn. Tasteful antiques, furnishings and art works
decorate the dining rooms, library, drawing room and
each of the guest rooms.
A full cooked breakfast is cooked to your liking and dinner is a three-course affair with excellent food and the option of wines from
Thorn Park’s extensive cellar.
