Luxury coastal lodge |

Thala
Beach Lodge is located on the spectacular coastal
road where the rainforest of the Daintree National
Park meets the coral of the Great Barrier Reef Marine
Park. The views from the lodge of this magnificent
stretch of World Heritage coastline are second to
none. The sea and the nearby reefs are the best-known
natural features of this coast, however, an integral
part of this ecosystem is the tropical rainforest
that drops down to the sea.

Set in 145 acres and designed with the aesthetics
of its beautiful natural surroundings in mind, Thalas
deluxe bungalows blend into the vegetation on the
rocky ridge and provide visitors with a luxurious
sense of privacy. All bungalows are air conditioned,
with en suite facilities and private verandas. The
lodge has private access to 2 kms of spectacular sandy
beach and secluded coves.
At
Thalas restaurant enjoy fine food amongst the
treetops surrounded by birdcalls and the uninterrupted
views of coral islands, reefs and mountain ranges.
There are two pools - free form and with waterfalls,
spas and grottos - they are the perfect place for
a late night romantic dip or for a poolside cocktail
from the bar.
The Lodge is an excellent base for exploring the region.
You may care to play golf, browse the Port Douglas
market, head off on a private picnic or take a boat
trip to the Reef. We highly recommend a day with a
local expert guide amongst the flora and fauna of
the rainforest - a unique encounter with Australias
environmental diversity.
