The island offers many magnificent walks and amongst the rich
fauna and flora, you may spot a Monitor lizard, after which
the island was named. The bushwalks lead you through a canopy
of tropical palms to the 24 world-renowned isolated sandy
beaches of the island. The unspoken rule is that if people are
already on the beach, you move onto the next vacant one and if
you are feeling too lazy to walk you may use the complimentary
dinghies or kayaks.
 Snorkeling
straight off the beach you are immediately amongst
beautiful marine life and there are more than 1500
types of fish & 400 kinds of coral to see. At
Watson's Bay, to the north of the resort, discover
a garden of giant clams, many of them are up to a
meter long and over 120 years old.
